I feel sorry for all the people that have yet to discover MSE and are spending £35 just to get 1 free gift!

Me too ME:) My sis has a LYB card (as i do) but as I don't live near a store and vary rarely visit one, I always shop online. I tell her that I never buy unless the discount is more than the LYB cards and she described that as 'skanky'! How can money saving on overpriced products be skanky? lol.

Just got the following e-mail from Body Shop:rotfl:

    204e27ce7aadf0c7044fb08207ac98eb.png

It said at the bottom of the e-mail 'Promotion Ends May 25th!'

Thanks for this ME:) maybe I can hold out making a 3rd order lol! For some reason the email I have set up on the BS site that notifies me of my orders/status doe not send me emails of deals ( get them here:) ) but instead they go to an alternative email I use for comps (must get back into that!) or junk mails. I have contacted the BS and although they have my email addy for orders, I still get deals sent to other email addys i have not registered with them.

why do you think they are still running this? do you think it is deliberate as someone else said, to get us all spending money? someone suggested they are in trouble and need some cash quick?

They're owned by L'Oreal, who sold 14 billion pounds worth of products in 2010 so probably not struggling too much! :)

Does anyone know L'Oreals stance on animal testing? Are their products animal testing free?

    From the Bodyshop's Wiki:

Protest group Naturewatch states that L'Or!al continues to test new ingredients on animals.[4] The company states that no animal testing for finished products has taken place since 1989 and that L'Oreal has invested significantly in alternative methods for chemical safety testing,[5] though they implicitly acknowledge that they continue to perform animal testing of ingredients.[6]
Following L'Or!al's purchase of The Body Shop, who continue to be against animal testing, The Body Shop founder Dame Anita Roddick was forced to defend herself against allegations of abandoning her principles over L'Or!al's track record on animal testing. Calls were made for shoppers to boycott The Body Shop.[7]

I can get it to work, but it won't let me checkout. All of my card details and address are fine, but it keeps highlighting the must be UK even when it's selected. Anyone got any ideas?

That happened to me when I tried to put an order through on Thursday. When I gave up and went back to my basket I found the gift set I was ordering was now out of stock.
