Someone said earlier that they are out about the 12th December.
I intend to sit down with a nice cup of tea or glass of baileys (depending on time of day) to have a nice browse and circle all the programmes.
Might have some christmas music in background, lovely tidy house, christmas decorations twinkling - oh well I can dream.
More likely the kids will be squabbling, there will be a pile of dishes in the sink and my husband will come in wanting his meal.Money SPENDING Expert0 -
I agree with you bluenose1
Can't wait :j :j :j it's one thing putting that little circle around each and every program you want to watch, but another if you get chance to watch any of the blessed things without the other half or the kids putting on what they want :rotfl:
Roll on the 12th :T

:rotfl: ROFL bluenose, that sounds exactly like my house.
i know there is an issue out that goes from the 16th - 22nd Dec, so does that mean the xmas one starts on 23rd, seems a bit late, i remember they used to start about the 20th, may have to buy both of them??0 -

Extensive research has revealed (well I did look on Radio Times website) that the Christmas edition doesn't start until 23rd December. That is far too close to Christmas. A con to make us buy both.
Anyway on the website it says
Don't miss the legendary RT Christmas issue, with part one of a Doctor Who audio CD free inside! On sale nationwide by 12 December.Money SPENDING Expert0 -
Hi All,
Today in work we recieved the Christmas Editions of TV Times, Whats on TV and should have got TV Choice, but that is still late! No more mag deliveries before Tuesday, so they seem to be sticking with their 12th Dec date for the Radio Times!
Cheers

Yep, every year me and H circle the things we want to watch - argue cause on at the same time. Compromise and then duly forget until the next day and then start all over again."Failure is always an option"

I love planning the viewing/recording too.
This year I will be able to programme my Hard-Drive DVD recorder, sit back and let it take care of itself (barring any powercuts!;) )
Anything that clashes can be taken care of with the VCR.
I tend to record any programmes or films that we would like to see over Christmas (also during other family visits in the year ), as my Mother and Aunt will often want to have an inane conversation out of boredom and talk loudly over anything they are not interested in.... unless they're watching old black & white films or something about cooking :lipsrseal .
It makes it more relaxing when we know we can watch our stuff later in peace and quiet :rotfl: .0 -
I always find that with well over 100 channels to flick fru all over xmas, just about everything on, is a repeat, save for a few xmas specials on the tv. And we all know, each and every year, the soaps traditional, its gonna be a new baby boy or a girl, or a death, a seperation, a marriage, a disaster or of course ALL of the above; is inevitable. Theres bound to be the festive (last years and the year before that), christmas special episodes, not forgetting the monumentious movies like Scrooge, Great Escape, and The Snowman.
I generally spend most of it channel hoppin with "seen it", "dont wanna see it". In regards to compromising over the telly, she already has won, I already dread the 1 -2 Hour specials that will be on with all the soaps, and she doesnt even have to ring that out on the mag, as that goes without saying, and in her book, "they dont count!;)". I think I will just stick to the wrapping and the cooking, just like last yearMerry xmas Folks!!!!!!
