Furious with Parcel Force!!

I didn't let it drop, even though Parcel Force and Post Office both tried to fob me off, I escalated them to their appeals. I tried the Postal Review who said they were unable to help as they only deal with Royal Mail. Anyway, got a call from Parcel Force appeals officer who was lovely and I explained the situation and she offered half the cost as compensation. I was happy to accept this as the fault was with the Post Office, though I did say that Parcel Force should not have accepted the letter without the corresponding paperwork. She asked me for the Post Office reference number too. Today I get a cheque for half the cost from Parcel Force and another cheque from the Post Office for the full amount! I would say I was quids in but Im waiting for the phone bill for all the calls I had to make to Spain to track down the letter!!:T
