iPad [or any Apple pdt] engraving takes away your return rights

Be warned!!!!
Apple has not introduced the Free engraving service on the pads and pods etc just to be nice to you.
Once you have an engraving you lose your 14 days return rights, as the product is now considered 'personalised' and as such is exempt from the DSR returns regulations.
Sneaky,.....a very sneaky move.

How exactly is it sneaky? they dont hide this fact

I'm not sure I'd want an iPod emblazoned with 'Keira :heart2: Josh' so I can kinda understand why this is now classed 'personalised'....
Of course, if your trinket is faulty then your rights are unaffected."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

I presume you're referring to the bit that says : "Please make sure that everything is spelled correctly as your engraved order can't be returned."
From the way that's written, most people would assume that means can't be returned due to a spelling mistake.
They do however mention 'no returns' deep in their T&Cs.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
..incidentally its 7 days to cancel under the DSRs, 14 days must be Apple's own returns policy of which they can impose any T&Cs they like.
Indeed DSR is 7 days, but since I was referring to Apple I quoted their 14 day returns policy.
Either way, DSR and Apple returns are both invalidated by engraving your item.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Agreed on both counts. I was merely trying to make people aware that if they get it and don't gel with it they have no DSR rights. The 7 days DSR return is a pretty good option to keep, but it's easy to forget that when a lovely order option for engraving pops up.
Granted most people get on with Apple items but the ipad in particular might not be what people were expecting, so imo I'd order it in vanilla!!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Lest there be confusion, I am NOT anti-Apple....I have a phone, pod [3 off], touch and was ordering a pad when I noticed the engrave issue.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0

I have been saying this for years, the only reason they do it is so you can't send it back, thats an Apple tactic through and through!0

If their so intent on not allowing returns why do they offer more than the standard 7 working days DSR for un-personalised purchases?0
