Overcharged by Three, can this happen?

I am not sure if I have posted in the right area as I am new to the forums.
I had to pay for my Three bill, which was £35. I could only pay £15 off the bill.
The lady on the phone told me I could pay £15 so £20 would be carried over to my bill on 11th May. I was happy with this as it meant I could pay altogether.
However when I had looked on my bank statement the following week it stated that £50 had been taken. This was strange as she had gone through with me on the phone that £15 had been paid and there was £20 remaining so I knew for sure she had not mistaken £15 for £50 as was stated by Three when I phoned up to complain. I also cannot have a refund so I just wondered what I should I do next? Surely they cannot just take out any amount?
At the moment that extra £35 is a lot of money to me until next week when the bill is due.

Seems like the lady misunderstood and they have taken the 35 bill plus an extra 15. I suspect there's not much you can do, if you had part-paid they may well have cut off your service anyway.0

No definately did not mis hear as she specifically said I could pay the remaining £20 on my next bill and I would not get off as I had paid an amount they were happy with until May 11th.0

Direct Debit Gaurantee?
Or was it not on a DD?0 -
To your bank.Tell, them that £50 was not authorised and insist that they reverse the transaction. When the money is back, start again with 3. Do it all in writing so that you have a record to undo the damage when 3 trash your credit record.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
