3 sets of begonias arrived today for me too so I have potted them up into seed trays to hopefully grow on a bit. I had lots of trouble ordering these as it kept telling me that the server was down to take payments etc so I kept trying. Later I received several email stating my orders had been received so think I've got another 8 packs coming!!! Am thinking of selling some of these plants on at car boots etc. Does anyone have any ideas as to how much to charge for them once they have grown a bit?

Also does anyone know where I can pick up some cheap (or preferably free!) flower pots?

    Thanks xx

Tesco charge £3 for a tray of 20 plants so would expect 10p a plant to be a good price, as for cheap pots/trays try freecycle, I'm sure loads of people are buying plants and have them spare. I used last years trays and still have a few left after transfering my miniplugs.

Many garden centres now have a 'recycling' box where people drop off their used seed trays for others to pick up and use again. HTH :)

These are great place to get pots - I got about 100 at mine yesterday, all matching first size (for potting up my jiffy starters) , guessing they are the ones the garden centre plants come in. Must have left behind about 1000 for other people :D

pot 1st, the sutton plants come with a handy leaflet on plant sizes and what to do so don't worry

...and they are really tiny (basically the size of a pen lid) but really healthy

They probably too small to plant outside to leave due to them being small, cold nights etc. I potted them on into bigger containers the type you get with bedding plants from garden centres. Water them in and put in a cold frame/GH or take in at home at night until no sign of frost. Or put them in pots and cover them with a fleece on a night. If you plant in garden you may loose some to slugs and cold
