I have a mobile for work which unfortunately got damaged over the weekend. My work has given me an old 6310i to use in the meantime. However when I put the simcard in I get the following message " Phone Restricted"
I assume this means its locked??? Anyone any ideas how I can unlock it to use it?? My boss in work thinks it's an old 02 phone, but we are currently using 02 sims and this phone won't accept any sims I have tried (02 and orange)
Anybody got any bright ideas???
Thanks

Can't get past the phone restricted message

Won't let me do anything else, it just opens a box to input a code0 -
i would guess its on tmobile or voda then (and voda usually have a logo on the housing)
you have 5 tries at code so if you post your imei we can give you the codes for both and hopefully one will work0 -
My guess would be t-mobile (or one2one) as the 6310i were usually contract phones and therefore not locked on Voda.
You've tried o2 and Orange! Why don't you try it with a pay as you go T-Mobile or Virgin card. I think there are some free ones floating about just now, or T-Mobile sell them for 50p via their website.
Put it in the phone and if it works, Identity Confirmed!
Do the unlockers agree?
But, i notice ur in NI, is there any chance it could have came from the republic? That would be a few more network locks to check, if so...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Ask around in the office or friends or family if they have a T-mobile or Virgin card to try if you don't wanna buy one.Heng_Leng wrote:...T-Mobile sell them for 50p via their website.

Thanks to Browntoa, we have come to the conclusion that the phone is actually blocked. I gave it back to my boss as it was a spare work phone. Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated
