  • the oxford muffs are excellent but there are cheaper alternatives, heated grips and muffs is a winning combination, i used to know a guy that had them both fitted to a honda cm 125 and couldnt wear gloves because his hands got too hot when they were switched on.
    best of luck

I'm a fairly new rider really and I've had no problems with my muffs, the openings on them are huge so you can get your hands in and out really quick and easy, they are designed to just keep the wind off your hands and they do that fantastically.
  • Hi Daisyboo,
I've used Oxfor muffs and they do a great job. You can even get away with just wearing summer gloves instead of winter ones (which limit your finger movement). There's no issue with getting your hands trapped. The muffs even protect the bar ends if you drop the bike (it happens!).
If you want to really spoil your dad then get some silk inner gloves too, they REALLY make a difference.
I hope your old man appreciates the trouble you've gone to!
    Happy Xmas, Skatebambi

I have a Honda CBR 125. My brother fitted Oxford Hot Grips to the bike for me and they're excellent in the cold. A word of warning though, I'd used them on the way to work one morning and accidently forgot to switch them off. I had to get the AA to come out to get the bike started. Even after a 15 mile run the battery was flat so I ended up having to buy a new battery.
