Bought 1 from Wilkinsons (£22 210litre) but diverter (about £4 - needed it to fit square pipe) from wickes, after lots of shopping around. Got home, pleased with self and when lugging out of car, my builder said I've got some containers like that if you want them.....arrrgggggh. So i said that would be great, can I have 2 please. So hopefully will have them as well.
I'm also on water meter and rather spookily also have blueberries on order from van meuwyn (due end may) wasn't aware prefered rain water but thats good. Have planted loads last few weeks, including raspberry canes, strawberrie, red and blackcurrants plus planted 2 apple, 1 black cherry, pear and plum tree as we eat loads of fruit.
DH is going to make a composter out of an old bin,

Our council's refuse collection operates with 3 wheelie bins - 1 for household waste, one for paper, plastic & cans and 1 for garden waste. We are entitled to an extra wheelie bin for paper plastic & cans so I asked them for one and use it as a free 240l water butt on wheels.

Might be worth exploring if you're on a similar scheme.

What a good idea. I have a spare green bin after I rang to complain that someone had taken my bin. The week after it was returned covered in brick dust etc. Thanks to my neighbour I now have 2 bins so I could use my new bin for water.
