the govt doesnt decide who gets and who doesnt get dla thats a job for the decision makers who have to abide by the rules set out in 1992 and updated along the way by case law

Adult social services who deal with direct payments told me this. I do believe them as my condition has worsened and has gone from from high rate to nil.

Some of yours have taken 3 weeks, for renewal packs to come back, some of them 5 weeks,

Could it take longer due to these New tory Benifit rules?

or that shouldnt really affect the time of a renewal pack decision being made?

can i get some other Times/weeks it has taken for your RENEWAL claim questionaires to be made a decision for?

I was sent my renewal on the 27 April returned to DWP on the 11 May had a letter saying it would take 8 weeks .

Had letter on the 10 June which was dated 08 June so mine took 4 weeks and 1 day it was a renewal after a 18 month award ( The 1st time I have ever claimed any benefit of any sort ) I was awarded an indefinate award of HRM (aware of change to PIP) this is used to lease a car from motorbility

I have hip dysplasia which means I use a walking stick / wheelchair to get around I also work full time have done so since leaving school in 1979

All in all I have never had a problem with my award I answered the questions as my needs required and have had reports done from Gp and my consultant who has advised me to hold out for any operation for as long as possible as I I am managing at the moment

Mine took 12 weeks but I sent it back almost as soon as I got the renewal forms. It just continued although I was worried as it took so long.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

  • If they need to get info from a consultant it could take 3 months. Sometimes it just takes weeks. Depends on the information sent, whether they have to wait for medical reports to be sent etc.
