How long do DLA take to Complete the marking, for renewals?(When should i send forms)

My aunt, currently on DLA is doing her renewal form, which is due in early August.

The Dla take time to mark the form answers (weeks in fact)

  • How many weeks do they take, to complete the Marking of the forms? (after we post them to them)

  • when would be the ideal amount of weeks BEFORE early august, that the forms need to be With them? - so they start marking.

This is to prevent a backlog, of the Dla period stopping, (incase they are sent late) then they wil stop payment for weeks.

  • how longs a piece of string?

i`ve heard of renewals taking as little as days, although tbh weeks is more likely, anything upto 12 weeks,so i`d take time and effort to fill them in then return them for marking(first time i`ve heard it called that)as soon as done, they usually chase you up if they dont get them back after 4 weeks anyway.

Why were you turned down this time?, i thought you would have got the same.....if you answered the questions the same as last time ?

Did you fill your answers different to your last claim?

How much medical evidence did you provide ?

I filled the exact same as the last time. My condition has got worse and there was no diagnosis the last time. I am meeting with DIAL on Friday who said that they have so many people who have been turned down. This horrible new government are hopinhg people will not appeal.

I have put a thread on this.

It has nothing to do with the current goverment, its down to successive goverments not applying the rules as they were laid out in 1992, there are many people getting DLA who should never have had it in the first place which is mainly down to the internet and guides on how to fraudulently claim DLA, the right words, the right things to say and how to creat the right evidence to back it up.

No one who is a current DLA recepiant should just assume that they will get it again on renewal (why do so many people have to renew for ever?) or appeal unless you really are unable to walk/vertually unable to walk and really do need and have care given.

It is the same but I have been told by social services and DIAL that they are turning so many people down who should be entitled to it- knowing some ill not appeal to save them money.
I know I should get it as social services initially got it for me and told me I should get it.
