Hi all
I have read O2 were giving away 6 months free broadband around 1 month ago when they decided to up their prices and they also let people carry on with their legacy contracts.
Unfortunately I let that opportunity go but now my contract is due for renewal. Has anybody managed to get the 6 months free offer when they are up for renewal? Or any other sweeteners?
Cheers

O2 want everyone on there new traffic managed with fair usage policy tariffs. They will probably offer you reduced monthly bill or possibly 3/6 off your bill, BUT will want you to move over to the new packages and on a new 12 month contract.
My advice would be to explicitly state you wan't to stay on the legacy contract whether it be rolling still or a new 12 month that's up to you, but try to stay on this type of tariff and get maybe reduced line rental or mayeb a couple of months free if you sign a new 12 month contract.
Don't forget take names of people you speak to, the time, the number and try and get an employee number if they won't give you a surname...
Hope this helps.
IMO they will offer you an improved deal but won't explicitly state that the new contract isn't on the new tariff so be aware...0
