    hi haven't had time to come back on here. just wanted to say thanks for most recent replies. no more leaks since so i'll wait and see what happens next time i use the hose. cheers

    The only way it could happen is if you were using hot & cold from the mixer, then when you turned the hose off the cold mains might have backed up into the cold tank feeding the hot water system, but even if this did happen I'd have thought it would just overflow in the normal way
