Hi so when booking flights from Barcelona to London City the BA website informed me I needed to act quick as I was buying the last ticket for €106. So, like a fool, I did act quick.
BA are now selling tickets on the exact same flight for €84! When I rung them to complain they simply said that was the last ticket for €106 at the time and they probably released more seats or something...
I was just wondering if I have any leg to stand on? I feel so absolutely cheated by what I thought was a reputable company

Call them, ask to speak to the manager. If he doesn't, ask to speak to his manager and so on.
It VERY MUCH helps if you are BA club member, regardless of level. Also if you've flown BA a lot before, mention that and say that you'll be taking your business elsewhere as it's not the way to treat customers.
Stay cool and be professional. You haven't legally got a leg to stand on as far as I can tell, so it's all discretionary. For the sake of a few phone calls I'd chase it up!
Last time I did that I got something like 10k miles from them for free. Wasn't the same situation as yours, but was a similar debate where they weren't legally wrong, just still felt cheated.
*edited to add: Now that you've mentioned it you've got me worried - I'm off to check the current going rate for my summer tickets to USA with British!0 -

Thanks for your reply
I'm a blue tier member so I did try ringing the executive club but she didn't even ask for my club number.
I think i'll take your advice and chase it up with managers.

how long between you booking your flight and the price drop?
Airlines use yield management and change the fares constantly depending on how much revenue on tickets sold to date and whether there are a load of empty seats as it gets closer to the flight and to get the best return.
I think their "last ticket for €106" would have been accurate at that point in time and I would have expected the tickets to increase after that until yield management system kicks in. They would not know at this point if the fares would go down or continue to rise.
You will have a bigger gripe if the fare dropped as soon as you booked your ticket but if it was a gap in time between you booking and the new fare appearing not sure they will do much........these things happen all the time in travel and the advice is usually book at a price you are happy with and don't check again0
