Android not connecting fully to web/search button not working

Ive got an Orange San Francisco/ZTE Blade (rebadged) and the last few days, i go to google home screen, type in my search words, all ok, keyboard comes up etc, then hit the magnifying glass, it goes orange to say you've depressed it, then back to white again and it doesnt perform the search, any ideas?

Also, if i go onto a page, MSE for example, then click forum, then home and play etc,each time i click onto the next sub-forum, it begins to load, the previous page disappears and scroll bar a the top goes 2/3 of the way across, and only way to complete the load, is to move the cursor

Is this a common problem, and whats causing it?

Its been reported, elsewhere, that Orange had another major outage yesterday. Although, its supposed to have been resolved there appear to be some outstanding issues. (My own Orange connection has been erratic today)
