    Another month has passed!

Cannas now in flower in the pots.
White phlox starting at the back
White dhalias on the left with the sunflowers (very late getting them in!)
Orange Turks-cap lillies at the back (grown from bulbils collected a few years back)
Hollyhock (sadly in pink, which I hate! That will go)
    Pyracantha needs a prune
Elephants ears growing very well by the table

You've done a very good job with a relatively small area - I like the fact the lounger is still out, did you use it for watching the Geminids meteor shower earlier this week?

Garden looking good even in winter! Be warned, those Elephants Ears will spread like billy-oh! ;) But pink flowers very early in the spring, so great for the early bumble bees. :j :) It's really good to have some very early flowers for the bumblies, as they are great pollinators for your fruit and veg, so the queens need to be able to feed when they wake up in the spring.

  • Garden design is the art and process of designing and creating plans for layout and planting of gardensand landscapes. Elements of garden design include the layout of hard landscape, such as paths, walls, water features, sitting areas and decking; as well as the plants themselves, with consideration for their horticultural requirements, their season-to-season appearance, lifespan, growth habit, size, speed of growth, and combinations with other plants and landscape features. Thanks.
