As the name suggests, it's only Wednesdays. You text the word 'film' to 241 and you get sent a code (costs 35p I think) which makes your cinema tickets buy one get one free.
The unlimited card will count as your paid ticket.
You're supposed to keep your unlimited card for at least a year. But if you cancelled the direct debit I don't see how they could enforce it
When signing up for a cineworld pass you are ANNUAL pass which they allow you to 'pay up' monthly if you cancel the dd you still owe them the outstanding amount and they will chase you for it.
I've use my pass much in the way Martin has describes, I live within sight of the local cineworld and my partner and I quite often pop in on Orange Wednesday..the promotion will work with the cine card. I suggest that you email cineworld and print off the reply just incase you are refused by someone at the ticket desk...it's only happened once with me and she was new, don't give them a hard time though bear in mind most cineworld staff are part time, very young and not paid enough to get 'into it' with customers just ask for the manager.
  • I love my cineworld card, both me and my partner have them. We go to the cinema on average twice a week. Obviously we seen the films that we're interested in, after that we see the kids films and after that anything to numb the brain or escape from a hard day, we love it, I wouldn't see most of the films I do if I didn't have a cineworld card. I've had mine for years and suggested to my partner he get one because it was costing him £7ish a time.

Never tried using on for orange wednesays, tend to avid the cinema on wednesdays because it's too busy!
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

  • My partner and i have had a cineworld pass for several years, we have used it with a "orange wednesday code" twice per month for the past year and never had any "issues" we even called cineworld unlimited customer services and they said its fine!

Although i never receive "food coupons/discounts/offers" like was advertised when i signed up :(

  • Just wanted to ask if any of you guys with the cineworld card get other offers as well through emails when you signed up for the card?

    Thanks all for the info.

I'd already emailed Cineworld asking for confirmation, with the idea of printing off the (hopefully favourable) response to show the cinema attendant.

Glad to have the back up from here though!
    :)

  • My boyfriend and I got the cards, but our local cinema is nothing short of disgusting. The toilets are awful and the staff not much better.

I emailed to advise we were moving abroad (we're not) and wished to end our cards (in the t's & c's it says you can cancel if your permanent add is outside of the UK). They have emailed me back 10 days later?! and asked for my flight tickets/eurostar or ferry crossing ticket?

What should I do? I've cancel the DD's already.
Will they chase me for the money?
  • I have a cineworld card and never knew about the orange wed thing and that´s the night i go with my fella. Thanks!

I emailed Cineworld about this, and they confirmed Orange Wednesdays definitely works with Unlimited cards. Here's what they said:

"The Orange Wednesday promotion can be used in conjunction with your Unlimited card.

The Unlimited card counts as the full price ticket and with an Orange phone and an Orange Wednesday code you are entitled to the 2 4 1 offer, so you receive the second ticket for free.

All of the terms and conditions for the Orange Wednesday offer can be found on the Orange website"
