Took in stuff that would of got me £120 cash according to website inc a DS lite which has had only a few hours usage since I got it 2 years ago and never used touch screen so looks brand new to be offered £8 for it(says like £37 on website)
And rare games like Twin Snakes which is brand new but not sealed to be offered like 50p for them despite website saying like £14.
2 sealed PS3 Tekken 6s was offered £3 for them both
I am a collector of stuff so keep my things brand new but in the end got offered like £35 for all my stuff and when I queried it was told my items were in bad condition, the website was out of date etc.
Would you complain about this? And what are you thoughts.
Dude, I'd buy Twin Snakes off you in an instant, been wanting to get it for ages!0 -
OP you're best off getting a print off of CEX website - select each item you want to sell, then when done click "go to sell basket" so its all on one page (saves paper), print it off then take it to gamestation who will put £1 on top of each price which is higher than they are offering. sign up for a free elite card too to earn points to spend in store.
where are you based? ring the store first to make sure that they price match cash as not all of them do, but they all pricematch trade ins and add the £1 on top.0 -
I use CEX a lot, rather give them my games than GAME or GameStation.
Only problem I had with them was I took in Sims 3: Outdoor Living Stuff a week after it came out and they gave me £2 for it...Total Debt: £1363.85
O2 - £719.85/£719.85 * FLM Loan - £300/£300 * PaydayExpress - £235/£235
Barclays - £109/£109 * HBOS - Paid!

Personally wouldn't use cex or any of those companies, just put them in free ad papers you see, just saying open to offers or nearest offer.0

Took it to another CEX in same town and they gave me almost the maximum,
Maximum for everything but the DS and 1 boxset but they claimed that was because their systems said that was the maximum available
So I lost out on £16 I should of got but at least I have some cash.
Just goes to show the other store was being greedy.0 -

AWwwww now I'm gonna have to go pay £40 somewhere for twin snakes or something0 -
Good result. I wonder how many people haven't checked the web site or other shops and just taken the pittance they offered because they thought that was all their stuff was worth.0
