downloading ringtones on Tesco PAYG phone
Had a problem downloading a ringtone on my old SE which an hour to Tesco customer support sorted out - their settings won't activate on that phone. I'd 'bought' a ringtone from mobilefun.co.uk. Tesco is listed on their drop down menu, but it didn't work.
I have got a new phone, a SE750i and I am going to get the WAP and MMS settings from Tesco (it's one of their's). But how do I know which sites will work for ringtone downloads and which won't? Tesco were nice and refunded my credit last time, but they won't again. The pre-loaded ringtones are naff.
Can anyone recommend any (definitely) supported sites which don't require subscription ( I don't download much at all) , apart from Tesco's own as their choice is limited and I don't want any of their's?
I own the CD of the track I want as a ringtone. I know nuuthing about mobiles and have never owned anything as fancy as the K750i before. Is there any way I can use my CD to copy to PC and download (usb: no bluetooth on old laptop) as a ringtone to the phone? If so, can anyone give me total-idiot proof instructions please?
Gracias amigo/as.

Hi pigeonpie,
I can't give you an idiot proof instruction i'm afraid, but I can tell you that you should be able to copy any of your own music to the K750i and set them as ringtones. You'll probably need to install the software to your pc that came with the phone, and there may even be a program that transfers the music for you.
The K750 should be able to play MP3's you see, and these can be set as ringtones. So effectively you could have a whole album on the phone and choose any track as your ringtone.
Sorry I cant offer more technical advice, but just thought I'd say something before you go out spending money on a ringtone!
Good luck,

I'll try the CD that came with the phone. SE's idea of ringtones includes the Tarzan yell
thanks Lee.0 -

Never saw the point in paying for ring tones when you can add them for nothing. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Quite but unfortunately Dumbo here can't work out how to do that
Diff q but related to my K750i - the memory card is insufficient. Would the phone be compatible with one with more memory so that you can take more than 5 secs of video? Where do I get one, if so? cheers.0
