How mobile networks mislead customers over 3G coverage

Mobile phone networks have been accused of misleading customers after it emerged they could be hiding gaps in their coverage.
Leading operators including Vodafone and O2 claim on their websites to have good or excellent 3G coverage for a ranges of areas around the UK.
But more detailed maps submitted to local authorities to accompany planning applications for masts reveal that there is poor reception in the same areas.
