i bought a very similar one for my parents, they have a static caravan they rent out and they were very impressed with it for the £300 i gave for it (they had a grands worth of panasonic viera plasma in their front room)

i have a tv in my bedroom but i dont use it, brought it with me when i moved in this house, was going to put it in the front room then someone gave me their old crt for free and i used that in there till my lodger moved out and i got the lg as a present

    Hi all,

I previously asked in this thread if it's worth paying for the extra guarantee on a TV from Richer sounds/Dixons and the likes (5 year extra guarantee approx 10% of the price).

Any thoughts - is it worth it?

    Cheers
yes, i bought a tv from richer sounds a few years ago and it packed up after 14 months, without the warranty i would have been stuffed, it was a philips which doesnt surprise me

Cheers people - I was thinking it probably would be worth extending the guarantee - just thought it's worth checking!

    Thanks

  • and the warranty for Richer sounds is way cheaper than others - Am looking at 2 x 32" LG LCDs for my dad - they are a special in RS at £229 at the mo - £350 each in Argos, RS warranty is £23 for 5 years and argos £80 odd for 3 years. I know who'd I'd rather deal with if i ever had cause to claim...

Definately go for the RS warranty, if you don't make a claim you get your money back. No-brainer if you ask me.

If you use the policy in the 5 years, you’ll have saved yourself tens and perhaps hundreds of pounds. If you don’t… IT WON'T COST YOU A THING!

    * Simply return your unused Supercare policy within one month of the expiration date, and we’ll refund the price of your warranty.
