Thanks for the help guys.
Looking at the options I think I'm going to have to move as much away from cahoot as I can but still keep on using cahoot for my day to day stuff. I guess I'll just have to accept that I have to pay extra for the flexibility.
Ah well, Cahoot was nice while it lasted, especially when it was down at 6%ish...0 -
Hi,
I'm absolutely disgusted with Cahoot's series of interest rate hikes!
5 times, that I can see, over the past two years. And now...what a leap - 14%!!!
Does anyone know of an alternative to the Cahoot flexible loan?
I need a flexible loan that allows me to borrow as much or as little as I need, of a set allocation / credit limit, without charging me. I'm not after a loan that is flexible ONLY because you can pay it off early or take a payment holiday.
Please someone...help me!
Thanks,
GailMoney can't buy you happiness, but it sure helps!0 -
Ive had the same email, my cahoot loan has gone up three times since opening it in April, sadly Im not working so cannto transfer yet, will do asap though.

Cahoot's customer service is terrible (although I bet they are taking a hammering at the moment)
3 days for a reply to an email, then its a form response. Ive followed it up with a request for the name of the Independent arbitration service they use twice to no response.0 -
I popped in to my local Abbey, removed all of their mortgage brochures (there were quite a lot!) and replaced them with a piece of paper saying
"I was ripped off by Cahoot (owned by Abbey)".
This was very childish of me but I felt so much better.
I think I'll do it again, you should try it.

If everyone lodges a complaint with the FSA maybe we can get something done about this and force them to lose lots of customers and re-think the appalling behaviourGC: Jan £118.67/£175
