Golly glad we will have paid off our Cahoot loan in January then.
OH rang them up and told them he wasnt paying more interest and they werent bothered but then its only one month left to run so it was hardly a big deal to them.
Looks like they will have kicked themselves in the teeth if all their customers vote with their feet :)

They don't care. They want shot of the business as part of their new model.
They don't want new customers. And anyone who stays will earn them double bubble...
  • Mine is all paid off now - after 4 emails from me plus it took 2 weeks for them to respond from the date of my first email. I feel a very angry letter coming on!!

I'm very glad we are all taking our business elsewhere and not to Abbey either!!!

Well im joining the club... no way im paying 15% a year...
Ive finally swallowed my pride and told my parents about it... they have lent me the money to pay it off...
I dont have to pay it back until ive cleared all my other debts, so roll on the snowball effect :T :money:
  • Closed my cahoot flexible loan - took 3 emails. Plan to close current account and credit card unless anyone thinks there may be a good retention offer from Abbey round the corner?

Dont you remember when Cahoot were a good offer? Do you really trust Abbey? Do really want to give them a penny after this disgrace?

I'm really infuriated! Interest rate hike kicked in on 19th December.
I owe Cahoot 9,000 now - down from 20,000 at the beginning of the month.
Client put an £11,000 cheque in the post on 18th Dec. IN THE POST A WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS!

If it doesn't arrive tomorrow, Friday, I'm going to be really angry! We're off on holiday on Saturday morning (fog notwithstanding!) and it won't be till the New Year that I get to pay those charlatans off. Sorry - rant over now!

Happy Christmas everyone! And a Cahoot-free New Year to you all!

    H

Yep.. well i still feel guilty about it happening and keeping it from them for so long.... so new year ill draw up plans to see how quickly i can pay off everything else :D
  • Mine also up by 58% with 15 days notice.

I am sure the terms and conditions say 30 days notice required.

Don't just pay it off or move it - if you feel they have breached their terms and conditions complain about them too!

If enough do then they will be passed to the relevant department for investigation
