that's fantastic and got some good stuff... our whole family has budgeted this christmas for everyone, so we don't need to spend too much, however thinking of what to buy is harder. WE have had lists, but finding cheaper items isn't easy.
I'm attempting to make up some gift hampers, I have the ideas but no money.. hoping that changes over the next 2 weeks or I'm stuck.
I've bought bits and bobs on the way along though so not too bad.
I got most of my 7 month olds toys from ebay, some great bargains and I'm not buying him much as it's a bit silly. He'll prefer the boxes and paper.
My 4 year old has a bit more, but I got a large little tikes kitchen off ebay for £23! I was so pleased with that as it is in great condition.
I'm stuck with my 10 year old though, all I have him so far are books.. he does love reading, but I would like to get him some different things. A lot of the books were from redhouse or the book people so were cheaper, even some from Amazon.... He likes computer games, but even those are costly, one for his DS will be about £25....I do look on ebay for those, but not always that lucky.

Was going to get him the Doctor Who annual from Amazon, but they just put the price of it up over the last few weeks, was gutted. I missed it for £3.99 on the book people or redhouse, don't remember which, but it was just over £4 on amazon, it's now £5.49 or something!

go to the boots perfume counters for perfume samples to put in your hampers if it is for your mum etc, go to the freebies board and send away for everything from free coffee samples to nappy wipes! (I have and have got loads and loads!)
Ebay for Ps2 games like you say, keep looking, or Game have second hand ones, look in the free local papers for kids selling their old games.
What about WHSmith for the books they have loads of daily bargains, the other day happended to be in there and it was 10% off everything-bonus!
Does he has a fav hobby/football team buy him the duvet set or the curtains (got my 72" LFC ones for £8!!! off ebay they were £39.99 on the LFC website!!)
A bean bag in his team, got that for his last birthday and he sits on it with pride daily (got that in the sale in Argos!) xxx

If you look on the voucher board there is £10 off a £20 spend code, I've just used it, so you could get both the first two for £15 ish, or the second one for £15

    Hope that helps

sorry just checked the links and they aren't working but if you go to empire stores, click on sale, you can look at toys, gifts for kids and gifts for men.

There might be something there that would suit (I was trying to show a doctor Who money box and a few other bits)

    Hi

I have some free samples, although I did use a lot myself! I have got some coffee and tea, doing my dad and partner a coffee and shortbread one.
I was going to get him the Dr Who duvet set, he's a DW fan, toys r us had it for £17.99 but out of stock. He likes to play football, but doesn't have any fave teams or into it that much.. at the moment his fave things are Dr Who, Simpsons, Music ( he likes singing, so want to get him the PS2 singstar party game, but that is pricey too, even on ebay), Pokemon, High school musical and other disney type tv shows. He is after some cd's and was going to try to make a pop/rock star type gift basket.. was looking for a daft wig, but can't seem to find anything.

Other baskets I'm doing, are movie nights, for about 4 couples, I do have most bits for those and a winter/flu kit for my gran.
I think the hardest part right now is lack of money and the fact that I wanted to be sorted earlier this year and it hasn't happened.

    Thanks for your help.

simpsons mugs are all over the place, there is even a kettle in Argos with 2 mugs!! (my 6 yr old loves simpsons every night at 6pm!)
Simpsons socks or clothing 3 for 2 in Woolies.
One of those compilation cds with lots of tracks on- play.com
Ebay we bought a black wig, long time ago it was for a 70's night.
That's it there in a sentence, lack of money that is why for 364 days of the year I am planning for 1 day!! xx

well that's the thing, I think I'll have to do that next year.. although I do say that every year, only trouble is I hate the shops at sale time! so tend to miss out on a lot. Online is fine though! lol

We print our own mugs so DS has quite a few now! I've said no more mugs! place is over run! can't move for them, although I know that there are some other cool things out there, the kettle thing sounds good though.
We are doing some printed stuff for other pressies, but didn't want to do all that as everyone knows we do it and may think it's a cop out, although we do still have to buy the stuff in the first place and then design it.
