I agree with what some of the others have said about not giving dogs cooked bones, I've known a few dogs who have been seriously ill after eating bones that have been cooked and it's cost the owners a fortune at the vets.

Never give a dog cooked bones. They can splinter easily and cause no end of problems.

Have you given these a try

My two love them, but I get them very rerely, depending on the size of our dog they can last weeks and are completely natural. I usually just give them bones from the butchers in the kitchen or outside now the whether is nice.

I've never seen these before, but will look into getting my Basset Hound one because nothing lasts more than a nanosecond once he gets his jaws round it - except piggy trotters and he doesn't have those often because of the fallout later.
    Thanks very much :T

It's not like we oven them for hours like a roast joint but just enough to prevent the runny bums they get when given one completely raw. About 10 minutes just seems to make the world of difference. We would like to feed them raw properly in the future but they're not used to it yet. I can eat beef less cooked than they can (anything more than blue and it's over cooked in my opinion but they won't set it like that and prefer it at least rare).

Our sheltie cross chihuahua did get confused for a Pom a lot when he was little but now he has a full sheltie coat but in cream sable and warm brown colours, he looks more like a fox to be honest but his heavily fringed tail curls up and fans over his back.
