My daughter works part time at Tesco. Shoppers can fill out a form at customer services to say someone was helpful and they get a certificate (no value, just kudos)

Last year my very helpful DD went out of her way to help some poor shopper who was struggling with two trolleys. She helped him to his car and he insisted on giving her a tip but being caught with cash is a sacking offence so her tip went into the charity box on the way back into the store. She laughed about it but the tip was more than she earned for her four hour shift. Not all staff are crabby!

They were fantastic 2 male staff tried hard to break in for a good half an hour and a lady member came out with some chocolate buttons for him. They did break in and they were so incredibly nice i just had to post this so hats off to Tesco staff you are wonderful in my eyes!!
Is there anyone at Tesco that can give them a promotion or star of the month or something??!!

Most of the supermarket chains offer the break into your car service! ;) Mostly it involves getting the plastic straps (not sure of the technical term) off frozen food packaging and getting it inside the glass to pull the lock up from the inside. This only works on old cars though.

Staff in most stores can be complimented by going to Customer Services. It helps to know the names of the people that helped and the departments they worked in. ;)

They get badges etc for customer service, helpfulness etc.

Staff can get a "values reward" for doing good deeds.

As far as I'm aware the RAC cover in the car park thing is still a free service.

Glad to hear you were helped out!

This happened to my year old niece about 6 years ago. My sister called the Fire Station who despatched a fire engine full of hunky firemen to release her.
    It was almost worth it.......!

When you say "They did break in ....." ....... did they pick the lock, use a wire coat hanger or packing strap to retrieve the keys or open a door from the inside handle ?
OR just stick a BRICK through a WINDOW ?

RAC cover is free of charge in any Tesco car park.

However, if your kids stuck in your car I reckon breaking in is the more appropriate action ;)
Who or what was I before you came in to my life

    I've been Money Tipped!
I locked my carkeys in the car when i wet to the police station - they thought it was hilarious! It took a fellow gym member about 2 mins to break in with a coat hanger and he said my car was a difficult one to get into! mispent youth perhaps and no he wasn't a policeman I just saw him passing luckily.
