taking a travel cot with continental airlines

hello,

just wondered if anyone has flied with continental airlines and taken a travel cot - did they charge extra to take this? We need to take a buggy too but this can be left off at the steps of the plane. Cannot see anything on their website and their customer service line was very unhelpful saying we "may need to pay a charge at the airport".

we are flying to newark this month and depending on what we could be charged to take a travel cot we may just end up buying one over in america.

no - just need it at the other end to put up in a room.

So as you will already be taking the buggy as you state - I would say that you've used up your extra freebies for travelling with a child - you couldn't take car seat and a buggy (it says or above)...so very much doubt you could take a travel cot for free...you could pay to check in an extra bag I would think...$50.

We did exactly that when travelling with a (then) 1 year old. If the hotel does not let you use one for free, just buy one and dump it. It is cheaper (and much less hassle) than carrying one, and cheaper than hiring one for a week or two.
