Buy a standard 3 modem for £20. That comes with 1 GB of data for up to a month. When that is finished, take the SIM out and put you new 3GB/ (for up to 3 months) SIM in.
I was looking too at mobile broadband, for my commute on the train, and the cheapest deal I found was http://threestore.three.co.uk/dealsummary.aspx?offercode=18MB1GD045 at £7.87 a month for 18 month. But this is miles better, considering there are not tie-ins.0 -
Ive been using a 3 dongle for a couple of years now and i buy the 3GB/3 month sims. The price of these has been rising of late so if i were you i would buy a few to keep me going. At around £3 per month per GB they are much cheaper than topping up a 3 sim at a shop for £10 per GB. Once you've used the 3 GB just throw the sim away and put in another one, by the sound of it you wont make 3GB last 3 months
