Hello everyone, I am flying to America from Heathrow on 22/08/11 for 14 nights. Does anyone have any advice for the cheapest way to park? Where? Is it cheaper to stay a night at a hotel and park there?
Thanks

Pick a quiet residential street near a tube station - Osterley or Hounslow - park up and catch a tube to Heathrow.
Cost: One tube fare.
Likewise when flying from Gatwick.
Pick a quiet residential street in Horley.
Park up and spend 15 minutes walking to the terminal.
Cost: Nothing.

I like the idea of free parking but unfortunately its in the early hours so will need to pay for parking somewhere?0

I'm looking at parking at heathrow as well. We will probably park in the onsite parking which unfortunatly wasn't the cheapest (Its £86.60) but I prefer it when you park your own car.. i don't really trust the ones that park your car for you.
Also I'm not sure I'd feel safe with parking in a random street. I don't know the area so don't know how safe it is. also people don't like random cars parked outside their house for weeks (i know i don't) I wouldn't like to come home to find our car vandalised

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Perfect if you want your car broken into, vandalised or stolen. Don't do it.Pants0 -

You're quite wrong.
London is an impersonal place and many people have no idea who their neighbours are - provided there are no valuables on display there's no more reason why your car should be broken in to than anyone else's.
I've been doing it for years and never had a problem.
