    hello.

just a couple of thoughts after reading your thread.

do you have a 'pot' as such for all your spends or do you write everything down?

what i mean is for those extras such as the kfc, cinema, take-away etc - are they budgeted for? do you know when there is no more money in that spends pot?

also, if you keep a record you can see where the extra is going and then choose which to cut back on if necessary (we do this and i say to OH - do you know we have spent X on A this month or B)

I don't tumble dry or iron - i just take stuff straight out of the washer, shake and hang up to dry.

also, do you meal plan and know when the co-op reduces its goods?

fusspot mode (sorry), don't forget to do the patch test before you use hair dye. xx[/QUOTE]

Ooooh I must say I am very naughty as I always use the same colour on my hair so I don't normally bother, do I need to still do it every time I colour? :o

The dog is 9 years old now though, she used to be loopy in her younger days but is generally better behaved now she has got over the first 7.5 years :rotfl:

Old fusspot mode, I would personally patch test everytime, as you never know if the manufacturers have changed any of the ingredients around, you see so many stories in Take A break / Chat, and some of them have used same dye, me personally I would have to test as I'm prone to anaphylixis shock, - not 100% sure what causes it, - got couple of dyes that I've used in the past, but same as mint tic tacs and granery bread.

Well I think I will be dying my hair on the weekend so I will do my patch test Wednesday or Thursday ;)

I keep having the strangest dreams lately, a lot of them contain me being really angry with my OH or us actually splitting up and then I have the horrible feeling of "oh no" and regret and then I wake up and am so relieved that the lump in the bed is there after all :o I have no idea what it all means but last night my OH thumped my moms partner on the left eye and I was so cross with him as that would mean that we would have to split up. Random :D

Have had a NSD today :T Although I shouldn't "need" anything after yesterday's horrific spend in Sainsburys

Managed my 45 minutes of pretty fast walking and stayed within my points on weight watchers so all in all a good day. I even managed to squeeze an hours ironing in :p They will make a domestic goddess out of me yet!

My mom wants us all to go on a family trip out to the theatre in December, I have told her no problem, but she will have to pay for the tickets and I will have to give her the cash closer to the time, still waiting for British Gas to get back to us about the mahoosive electric bill they have sprung on us :o

Had a balance transfer offer off Virgin which is nice 0% for 12 months which we will definitely utilise but the thing that annoys me with them is that they drop the minimum payments down to £25.00 and so by the end of the 12 months you havent actually payed anything off the balance just the balance transfer fee. So must make a point of paying off extra per month off whatever we transfer onto there.

That only leaves my Tesco card to move somewhere then :( At the moment there is nowhere for it to go and it is the highest one left at 17.9%, maybe when Egg is clear, they will offer a special rate, fingers crossed.

  • Well I am not feeling very upbeat today, so it will be short and sweet. Happy to say a NSD but apart from that feeling fed up. Stayed within my WW points and had quite a productive day at work, so shouldn't feel fed up but I do :o

    Onwards and upwards :p

We're all allowed off days, hope what ever it is gets sorted soon, but positive stayed within points and no spend day, thats a brilliant achievement.

  • ooh thoughts of another dog :) I have spent a lot of time on rescue sites recently. We thought about PAT with my dog, really wish we had done it now as he would have been brilliant, he is totally bomb proof, not bothered at all. Except by thunderstorms but doubt that would be an issue! :rotfl: Greyhounds have an excellent reputation as PAT dogs as they are so docile (read, can't be bothered!)

Hope you feel better tomorrow. we all have off days/weeks so hope it passes very soon :) x

We must swap notes on the good sites to look at, I have been looking for so long and fostering some dogs whilst looking. Will crack on with it when we get back off our holidays.

One of the dogs I was looking at was a greyhound crossed with a possible Labrador, sounds like a perfect match, but the rescue don't seem to return my e-mails or messages so I don't know whether he is still available.

  • Well haven't had a great day spending wise as have had to buy some essentials for our holidays but emotionally feeling better. I offloaded about my problems onto a different thread, I think it is called venting :D

So bought shorts for husband, cool bag, bikini top new bra (all from Asda so cheap and cheerful)

Deodorant, cereal storage box and vanish from wilkos

    Inflatable ring for DD Poundland

Since husband has come home, he has tried on both pairs of shorts and decided they either don't fit or he doesn't like them so they can both go back :p

Stayed relatively within my points but havent eaten healthily as has to eat lunch on the go which happened to be WW crips, WW cookies and a snack a jack thingy.

Still feel weird in my chest, it feels like I have something stuck on my lower right chest, top of my abdomen. A strange feeling like I have indigestion but it is too low down. Doctors tomorrow :D

Sold two dozen eggs today :T

So tired, please sleep well tonight :o
    Just keep swimming!
