SNAP! I'm so glad you said that. If it is for Little Miss Gap I have no problem buying it, even if it is my last penny but for me, not so

Hi guys,
I don't know what it is at the moment but money just seems to be running through my fingers like it is going out of fashion
It seems like something needs paying every day - this means I haven't really been able to over pay anything this month which frustrates me greatly. I might even have to dip into my VSP to stop me going overdrawn before I get paid. I have another two weeks tomorrow to go before I can invoice so it is a 5 week month for me (which is great from the chargeable time point of view as I will have worked more hours) but not great when you need payday to come sooner than later.
I have been so good on my diet and have lost another couple of pounds so I am nearly at half a stone now since I put my mind to it (probably beginning of feb??). This weekend I am going out for a meal but husband has had his bonus at the end of this month so it can come out of there for a treat before we pay a lump off the debts.
I had yet another moment of where people in my village were just rude and didn't involve us last weekend - it really made me think why do I bother with spending money on attending these fundraising events for the school, pampered chef parties etc. when I could just save that money up and go out with OH who seems to be the only person who gives a poo about me. We sat there in this big hotel for a hot buffet and a comedian and everyone sat in their little cliques not involving us. On one table, I saw the back of the woman who was sat next to me for most of the night as she was sat next to her two gal pals and they were so engrossed none of them spoke to me
I just think I must be weird as I would never do that to someone, I would invovle them in the conversation - maybe I am just strange
Loving this weather at the moment, have been off walking the dogs most afternoons taking a book with me in the sunshine (I have to watch for rabbit holes or I could break my ankle not concentrating where I am walking!). And the garden is springing to life - it is really making me want to plan what I am growing the garden this year etc. I think we will be having:- tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, carrots, brocolli, strawberries and I might have a go at mixed lettuce and throw some potatoes in. It was lovely yesterday, the agrophobic labrador was in the garden in her happy place running around chasing two flirting butterflies that were in the garden - she is funny (albeit nuts) :rotfl:
Hope everyone is behaving themselves! Only 2 days and I can update my signature again (although I bet it is only going to have gone down by about £200.00  Next month could be good...... if the blinkin caravan sells!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Just keep swimming!0 -
Well done on the weight loss, that's fab. I'm still hanging on in there on the healthy eating plan but haven't yet stepped on the scales.
Sorry to hear how you've been treated by the village folk. I hate little cliques, there are plenty of them at the school gates and at work so I know how you feel. It's their loss!!!

Hey just checking in, sorry to hear you are still having bother with the village people. Anything you can get involved in that is a bit further afield? As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0

Hi guys,
Feeling a bit more positive about things generally this week. I think it always helps when the sun is shining (my mood is probably due to change then when the rain and possible snow comes tomorrow
). Did lots of nice tidying up in the garden this weekend, spent £10.00 on seeds for veg but I am determined that I will nurture these little plants until they produce me AT LEAST £10.00 worth of vegetables :rotfl: I have bought red onions, carrots, brocolli, lettuce and spinach. The tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers I will get from the local garden centre as young plants in the next few weeks as it is far easier
I have decided not to bother trying to get invovled with the people in my village and focusing in spending more time and energy on my family and home. I do not know why I strive for this acceptance with a lot of people that I don't actually seem to have anything in common with or particularly like, it seems like it takes far too much of my energy and emotion when I do try therefore it seems better not to bother.
Finished reading the Hunger Games over the weekend - wow what a book, couldn't put it down - sat in the sunshine yesterday afternoon finishing it off, great stuff
I cooked my first ever chicken yesterday. They sell a little chicken at the co-op for £4.00 and I have enough meat left over for tonight's meal so I think that is quite good value.
I need to update my signature with the new figures for April - fingers crossed May's figure will be the big drop :TJust keep swimming!0 -
Hi Itsa,
Im glad you are focusing all your attention on yourself and your little family now, who needs snooty neighbours etc anyway! Better off without them is what I say!!
Glad you enjoyed your chicken yesterday. For the first time a few weeks ago I stripped the chicken and made homemade chicken and broccoli pie which was delicious. Couldnt quite believe id not done it before tbh!!
Enjoy your week xxMummytogirls x0 -

Well guys - it has finally happened, a little less than I would have hoped for, but the caravan deal has been done. The dealership have said that they will give us £6,000 for it which is £800 less than we would get if we left it with them on a commission basis but I feel like a momentous weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Just waiting for the cash to come through to the bank accountand it will go straight off a card. This means that I will definitely be sub £20k for the end of the month totals :T This to some would still seem like a mahoosive amount of debt, but to me this seems like a manageable clearable amount.
I also have about £3k coming from some shares and may have another £500.00 from a bonus so we could be around £15k by the end of May.:T:beer::j:T:beer::jJust keep swimming!0
