The rental listing even indicates "long-term" rental when house is up for sale at same time

I do get sick of Ts being used to pay a mortgage when a property won't sell. Fair enough if T only wants a shortish tenancy but I feel to put long-term on RM listing when in reality the "LL" wants to sell is appalling!Inside this body lays one of a skinny woman
but I can usually shut her up with chocolate!
When I thank a post in a thread I've not posted in,
it means that I agree with that post and have nothing further to add.

I hope the OP isn't regretting trading up to a nicer house, whilst playing landlord on the original home.
Falling values eat up lots of years worth of rent, so if she's got a tenant after that 6 months void, hope they can hang on to them.
This house on her street was originally on at £169,950

Now on at 'Fixed price' £139,950

Other houses on that street have also been selling for around that price last year.

Appears they've had a void of 1 month. Glad I'm not a landlord. Gutted me to pay £650 to pay for an unexpected car repair this month.
They've also cut asking price for rental from £700pm to £650pm.

A house in a more modernised condition on the very same stretch came up for same monthly rental price of £700pm, soon after they put theirs back on the rental market, so I'd suggest that put some pressure on them to lower theirs to £650pm.

Also back up for sale as well, as of today. Back on at £169,950. Perhaps the push in the budget to help people borrow more money to buy houses will work in their favour.
