UK Ebay seller won't ship to other EU countries?

Just because you *can* do something, doesn't mean you should without a good reason for it or explanation.

I don't know which courier covers only half of the EU but delivers to every other corner of the world. I am sure they use Royal Mail. Mainly because it states that on the bottom of each listing. Royal Mail delivers to all countries in the EU.

Many people block Italy due to their poor postal service, but surely it makes no sense to block several EU countries with a very high standard of postal service, but be apparently able to deliver to the rest of the world (including places with no government) without question.

In my opinion, the seller is shady. I notice the proportion of negative feedback the seller receives has vastly increased over the past year, check out the 1 month figures compared to 12 month figures.

Feedback though is an entirely different matter than postage restrictions and I cannot see what point you are trying to make?

My example about temporarily blocking The Netherlands was on my part a fit of temper, nothing more. I had no scientific method behind that block, nor any evidence that the country as a whole was a problem. However as a seller I have a right to block whoever and wherever I want.

I also have individual members on my blocked bidder list that I have never had dealings with, but perhaps have been highlighted as a problem on forums like this. I reserve the right to block who I wasn't and for whatever flimsy reason I choose.

The number of people who know how it should be done multiplies daily. Beats actually taking a risk and starting a business yourself.
Buying from ebay is risk free if you know the basics. So this seller is only harming his own business. Nothing to do with you.

Also the feedback percentage of the seller remains about constant.it does not appear to be bad at all and I would buy from a seller with that feedback and those stars.

As this thread is an old one it does rather look like a bit like seller bashing ..

How do you know whether I have a business or not? You know it might actually be possible that I'm also an Ebay business seller!

So it might be worth checking Amazon or elsewhere first before buying from this seller.

Sellings books possibly.

As for the drop shipping, it's not,ideal but is not actually against eBay rules. However if this seller is drop shipping from Amazon then their feedback does not reflect it.

Exactly, *you* would have a good reason, not a reason that needs to be explained to a bunch of strangers on an Internet forum.

As mcfly says the only person being harmed here by having such limited overseas shipping locations is the seller, it really doesn't make any difference to the rest of us.
