i do try and feed the family meat or fish every day. im deffo going to start bulk freezing as sometimes we are not all eating together so freezing as a single meal would work well. im going to try and use the stuff out the cupboards but i cant see how you dont need to buy bits on top. i have three kids (5,11,14). i have told them its no more money for school or tuck shop and were going to be taking packed lunch. im making bread , cakes ect. its not easy but im trying. thanks for replys of help xx
Something I've started doing is baking flapjacks and muffins, then freezing them as soon as they are cool. In the morning one goes into lunchbox - it's defrosted by lunchtime and it keeps stuff a bit cool. Plus it stops us scoffing them if they are just left in a tin:rotfl:

If you have a supermarked nearby then learn when their reduced stuff goes out, you can get some bargains as some of us have been known to brag about :D

I was in Mr Ts yesterday to spend my last DTD vouchers when I spotted the Sky guy in the store. I've always felt sorry for him as he never seems to leave the Sky stand in the mall and rarely do you see anyone over to sign up. Well after yesterday I feel a lot less sorry. I was in around 4:30pm after a docs appointment and saw him pushing a trolley full of stuff. Upon closer inspection, everything had the yellow reduced labels. He had a stack of stuff that could be frozen and he'd left very little on the shelves. No wonder he hasn't quit his job yet as he's saving a fortune at reduction time!
