hi to all, not sure if this will post properly as its my first time. i shopped in sainsburys today, printed off 2 coupons for half price kitten pouches (whiskas), they were on offer for 2 packs for £5, SA scanned the coupons, which took off £1.92 X 2. so just over a £1 for 24 pouches, very pleased.

Thats the way to do it:rotfl::rotfl:

and why we love this thread

Just read that Focus DIY have gone into liquidation, if anyone has any vouchers spend them asap, they are closing in a few days.

Sorry for the staff who are losing there jobs, but there will be loads of bargains to be had.

Sorry not coupon related but was worried if people had vouchers that must be used today if possible, tomorrow at latest or the stores will soon be empty.

I was also going to suggest the latest Weezl thread - in fact it's what got me 'into' mse. I was searching for a thrifty recipe and came across this thread where Weezl was feeding herself and her OH (healthily) for 50p a day each  Gave me lots of ideas and tips and I managed £60 a month for me, my OH and my (then) 2 year old.

The basic advice is to cook from scratch, no buying lunches and to lower your expectations - do you have meat every day? What are your portion sizes like?

Pre Weezl thread me & the OH would happily demolish a roast chicken - now it can last us several meals and that's before using the stock for risotto.

There's also advice on how to cut down on gas/elec and although I never posted it seemed to be a supportive thread. Good luck, and fingers crossed it won't be forever.

i do try and feed the family meat or fish every day. im deffo going to start bulk freezing as sometimes we are not all eating together so freezing as a single meal would work well. im going to try and use the stuff out the cupboards but i cant see how you dont need to buy bits on top. i have three kids (5,11,14). i have told them its no more money for school or tuck shop and were going to be taking packed lunch. im making bread , cakes ect. its not easy but im trying. thanks for replys of help xx

Edit: I was doing a search in Google and came across this. I think it's a new link for the £5 Finish voucher and I've been able to print one off without issue (or system restore!)

Thanks caz, I have been able to print this, even though it won't let me print more from the other Finish links
