    Question for someone clever!

Can you scan coupons through self-service machines (in tesco-asda-sainsbury) or does assistant have to do it for you?

    Many TIA.

    :):p:)

    Good morning everyone.

Think the clever ones are still in bed, :rotfl::rotfl:but will tell you what happened to me when I went through self service with coupons.

I have only done this about 4 times.
First time in Sainsburys - assistant had to scan them.
Second time in Tesco - scanned one put it in the slot, when tried to scan a second one it wouldn't work so assistant had to scan them.
Third time in Asda - scanned it and put it in the slot and it wouldn't go to the next stage so assistant had to come and help.
Fourth time, in Sainsburys recently - scanned it but still an sa had to put a code in the machine.

Gave up after that, only use self scan if no coupons.

Saying that other peeps have scanned coupons at self service OK.

Hope everyone has a good day.:):):):):)

Go and check out the 1p thread and see what bargains are to be had. Could get 5 tins of aduki beans, 5 playmobil pirates, 5 packets of dormen nuts, or 5 tins of chilli, or loads of other 1p items some peeps are lucky enough to find.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

according to mysupermarket the half price deal is on for the razors until 10/5 which is next tuesdays (sunds abt right as they swap deals on a weds usually) so you should still be good for this price at the weekend.

Thanks for looking this up for me! :j

For the question about storing coupons, I've just been dumping all mine in a paper folder. Then last night I sorted them out into piles per store, and ones that can be used anywhere. Then I sorted through them for ones I wanted to use, clipped them together with a shopping list on the front. And I also made a little pile of things I wasn't overly bothered for this week, but just wanted to look out for with prices. Clipped them together with another list then just popped all the 'unwanted' ones back in the folder for next week. Only took about 5 minutes, even if the explanation is a ramble!

what do you think is a sensible target for a household spend per week ? im really trying to buget but still want to serve good food to the kids.

If you go over to the 'How Much Have You Saved?' part of the forum there's a thread for feeding a family of four, healthily, on £100 a month. I can't post the link but the title is 'Weezl and Friends Phase 4'

Hope everyone's feeling dandy today. In a rush to get too work, just a 'quick' look to catch up turned into 20 minutes, so I'll look back and thank later. Don't want to seem rude!

  • Morning everyone,

My wombled asda reciepts came to a grand total of £2.26, every little helps!!

I'm a bit obsessive about organising and I've got 3 small clear plastic folders, one for A coupons and wombles, another for T and the last one for any other coupons - seems to be working ok for me. I also put them in date order so if I look at the one in front I know the earliest date for all of them!
