  • Morning guys,

Haven't caught up yet still got 6 pages to read!

My asda shop went quite well yesterday, not as many savings as normal but it was a proper shop and not just for coupon stuff! I managed to get an £85 bill down to just under £60 and have a £7 APG voucher to use next time.

The SA was lovely but I did try a different approach yesterday and gave her my coupons BEFORE I started, she still cant take them off the bill till the end but it meant she could check the goods while they were on the conveyer belt - meaning that she seemed to trust me a bit more instead of thinking I was trying to get one over on her! She did seem to really appreciate that and it meant she could check them while i was loading the goods out of the trolley. Then at the end she just scanned them all because they had already been checked. The till still needed an override but she was confident she'd checked them so wasn't worried - she even suggested the "price Guarantee" to me (I didn't have any because I've run out of ink!). She said one customer saves them all up and uses them at the end of the month to get a free shopping trip! lol

Sorry about going on, just feel a bit more positive after being so worried.

I used one earlier this week and it was taken without any probs. I have read that some people have had problems if they don't have a Morrisons nearby so definitely worth checking with CS before doing your shop.
  • morning everyone. Nice little earner over on the tesco deals - if anyone not already seen.

The "meal deals" (i.e. 1 starter/1 side/1 main/1 fruity little number) includes merlot or chardonney which are both half price in A. Woohoo.

Off to T's today - have 3 £20 vouchers from stocking up on the fairy tabs. Will kill these off buying some nice meals for lazy days and the wine is any kitchen essential as we all know.;)

Thanks again to IS - you're a :starmod:

squishy hugs to all who need it (need some myself, self-hugging not much fun!) and
    love to you Byatt x

I am so confused about how you manage this couponing, please help me out. So can you use more than one on the same shop of the £4 off £30, £3 off £20 type? I thought you could only use one at a time? Also, how did you manage to use a sainsburys one please? Thank you.
Although some people post they have used multiple condititional spends, this is not the rule.....unless you spend the total of the amounts allowed....last week I did a £72 shop and had 2 conditional spends refused 1 x £2 off 20 and 1x 35 off £40 ...told I could not use 2 in 1 shop...I have to say this was exceptional as have always used 2 before when my shop is for the total amounts, in this case at least £60.....the rule is to spend the total of the amounts, but a lot of T's will let you use them all in one shop, but if you are refused you cannot argue the point as they are quite correct....I do think when people post they have used multiple conditional spends they should point out the fact that have been very lucky, thus avoiding the confusion of newbies thinking this is the norm....also the rule for acceptance of conditional spends is.....the total of your shopping after bogofs must be the amount of conditional spend moc.....so if your shop total is £30 after bogofs and you have a £5 off £40 it may be refused....I agree some T's don't seem to know this and take them but my local T's is a stickler for this and always checks before taking them...they never take multiples unless the total reaches or exceeds the amounts, last weeks experience was as I said exceptional and very annoying, but it is that particular stores policy and there is no arguing with it.....hth

See the first page as to which chains conditional spends can be used in Tesco at the moment...they can and do change their policy on this

how much were the hula hoops please?:D

    Good morning everyone
I bought a box of 27 packs of hula hoops for £3 in my local asda so I'm guessing these are the same ones.
They have original, BBQ, cheese and onion and salt and vinegar flavours.
