T-Mobile SIM online purchase for iPhone

I have an iPhone 4 and looking to purchase a pay monthly SIM only deal. T-Mobile have one that suits my needs and I could potentially get £80 cashback if I buy it online through topcashback.com.

However there is no option on T-Mobile's website to specify a microsim. A sales assistant I spoke to told me just to buy it in shop as they will give me the correct one but obviously then I don't get the cashback.

Does anyone know if it's possible to order the normal SIM online with them and then get it switched to the right one? Do they charge extra for doing that?

Most networks charge extra for iphone micro sims and more for a contract if it's going to used in one.

AFAIK it is pretty easy to cut a normal sim to micro size. You can DIY, buy a cheap special cutter or ask the mobile guys at your market to do this.

I bought a sim card cutter from eBay, I've lent it to loads of people and never had any trouble.

Hmm, sounds like cutting it might be the way to go! I'm a bit nervous about doing it myself but I think I know a place that would probably do it. I'll check it out next week.

There are sim cutters on Ebay for a few quid. Used and then sell it, maybe ??

All you do is put the sim in the cutter and push it down and it cuts it down to the micro sim. Easy Peasy.

Have a look on the good auction site for "micro sim cutter".

One will appear at the top of the search listings for less than a £5 delivered and once you don't need it again put it back on there.
