Motorola SLVR Pay & Go Advice Needed
Hi Guys wondered if anybody could help me with query. I have been given a new Motorola SLVR pay & go (tesco) but I have a contract and old Nokia phone with T Mobile. Is there any way that I can use the Motorola with my current contract and if so what do I have to do. Am I right in assuming that it's not just a question of putting my old sim card in, do I have to do some jiggery pokery with unlocking it?
I know it sounds really thick but only ever had contract phones and never really tinkered. But you gotta start somewhere!!!
Cheers

If it doesn't, it needs to be professionally network unlocked.
Expect to pay about £20, because it's not a simple code or cable unlock. It's a testpoint unlock and requires some minor "surgery" to the inside of the phone!0 -
Thanks for the info. Have tried my T Mobile sim but not joy it's asking for some sort of password. Where do you go to get these little blighters unlocked?Being powerful is being like a lady.....if you have to say it you ain't!0

Local market, mobile phone shop (not the O2, Orange, Vodaphone, Phones4U, Link or Carphone Warehouse-type ones, though - you want to look for the independent ones that sell tacky replacement housings, etc), corner shops with "Mobile Phones Unlocked" signs in their windows - usually misspelt!0

The surgery mentioned involves removing a fixed metal cover inside the phone by force using cutters, again if what I read is true - you will have no chance of any warranty after that.
(Edits done due to typos & making myself a little clearer - I hope, but it is early)
Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0
