We have made 2 motor claims and the actual insurance companies concerned were ok to deal with but our biggest problems were caused by the garages doing the repairs.
The first garage used was an 'insurer approved' garage and the second one was an audi approved that was chosen by us. Both garages done a shoddy job and were surprised when we expressed our disappointment.
In the end both lots of repairs were done to our satisfaction but it took several trips to and fro to get there.

I take the point re quality of claims process. However, our car would cost £1,300 to replace like for like and we can comfortably afford to go out and buy a replacement ourselves. Therefore, to me, we have car insurance for the third party liability and the fact it's a legal requirement. As a result, I'm not that fussed to be honest. If we ever buy a brand new or high value car then it might become more of a consideration.

There were quotes as cheap as our Admiral premium on GoCompare but they were companies I've never heard of. I'd rather be with a company that are known than someone completely random.

I'm not sure how much more we'd have to pay to get a company that people rate in terms of claim quality.

I have a claim going through, they are quick to accept liability before investigating facts. Fast service though
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
