Kalamaki in Zante is probably perfect for them in my opinion... has a nice beach, good bars, good restaurants, a few clubs, very close to airport - and its also really close to Laganas which is the main clubbing resort so they can flit between mad clubbing in Laganas or a few drinks in a bar in Kalamaki.0

Ibiza - San Antonio or San Antonio Bay (Clubs very, very expensive)
Cyprus - Ayia Napa or Protaras
Zante - Laganas (May struggle for HB)
Majorca - Magaluf or Palma Nova
Costa Del Sol - Benalmadena or Torremolinos
 Costa Dorada - Salou
thanks for this, given me some thought where to book for september0

My daughter has just turned 21, she has been travelling abroad with her friend for the past 3 years. Benidorm and Ibiza (hates San antonio) have been her favourites by far. She stays in the old town of Benidorm always and like you I insisted on half board so she is at least fed. If she goes to Ibiza then she stays in a place called Apartments Playa Es Cana, Es Cana. She loves it and feels totally safe.
I don't worry about her as much as I did to begin with because I know she is sensible and budgets her money really well. She always has her food money put aside and her return to airport bus fair.
 Hope this helps..0

How about the canaries - lanzarote, gran canaria, fuertaventura or tenerife. Almost guaranteed great weather, nightlife good but not too rowdy and plenty water parks, days out etc. I went to gran canaria with a big group of friends when I was 18 on my 1st holiday without family and had such an amazing time.0

I personally wouldn't like to think of my daughter going on her first holiday to somewhere like Laganas, Ayia Napa, Maguluf or San Antonio. I would never be able to sleep at night worrying about wat she was doing!
I think one of the not so mad resorts on a Greek island would be good and maybe she could spend a little more and go All Inclusive, that way she wouldn't have to worry about too much spending money.0

Also recommend Turkey. Went to Marmaris when I was 20, we stayed in Club Julian which is about a 30 minute walk from the main centre of Marmaris (and the beach) but is located in a smaller area with quite a few bar/restaurants which got quite lively in the evening! We went on one of those pub crawl/club evenings organised by the holiday company which was quite fun and meant we could get to and from the clubs safely! Also went on a boat trip in the day, had a turkish bath and etc.
Then when I was 21 I went back to Turkey but went to Alanya in Antalya and stayed at The Grand Okan, half board. It's a great hotel with great staff and food, 10 min walk from the centre, across the road to kleopatra beach (which is much nicer than the beaches in Marmaris). The centre has lots of bars and clubs and there are plenty of bars and restaurants around to go to. I also found it a bit less pushy than Marmaris and less chavvy!
The good thing about Turkey is it's hot and it tends to be cheap, both my holidays cost me around the £300 mark. Me and my friend are both happy to go out every evening but didn't want a holiday which was about getting paraletic every night, Turkey offers clubs for if you want a big night out and plenty of bars with buy one get one free cocktail deals if you're after a quieter evening!
People moan about the Turkish men, it's true that they love english girls but that's mainly due to the reputation English girls have created for themselves. Plus, it's what they're paid to do. They work every hour under the sun and they're paid by the boss to get people into their restaurant/bar and they know they can do it by flirting with the girls and charming them to keep them coming back every evening. They're harmess really, it's just their job!0
