Hi, my middle daughter isn't really a "kid" as such anymore but still turns to me for advice. Any advice from mums of young laydee as to holidays for them? Daughter is wanting to go on a gilrs holiday, her and 2 others all age 18/19 to somewhere hot, first time alone for all of them. Likes to party but not as much as some, is pretty sensible and says altho they want to go out won't want to be out every single eve (and gets migraines if goes without too much sleep!) Not over keen on roughing it (so no backpacking) Bit nervous of going it alone but looking forward to it. She has travelled abroad with us so knows the ropes as it were. Best to fly from Notttm East Mids but could do Birmingham. Has around £300 to £450 to finance trip (not inc spending) and wd prefer half board or more (and I wold prefer that too..at least i know she's getting fed then!) Any ideas/feedback anyone?

Salou in Spain is quite nice, bit of everything there and Port Adventurer is just a bus ride away for a day out too. Most hotels run a shuttle and day trips. I went to Barcelona for the day and the beach is nice too.0

What time of year are they going?
If they want the option of clubbing (which i'm sure they secretly do!) then why don't they look at Palmanova as they can walk/taxi into Magaluf or Stalis and they can walk into Malia? Not sure if that will be too much for them but means they will have bars/restaurants where they are and still the option to enjoy their first girls holiday! Or even Zante - Laganas.
Alternatively they could look at Benalmadena as they have a square with bars and it's not as 'wild' as other places? Or Salou as someone said above.0 -
Places I have been to that would probably fit the bill:
Ibiza - San Antonio or San Antonio Bay (Clubs very, very expensive)
Cyprus - Ayia Napa or Protaras
Zante - Laganas (May struggle for HB)
Majorca - Magaluf or Palma Nova
Costa Del Sol - Benalmadena or Torremolinos
Costa Dorada - Salou0 -
I second Protaras Cyprus. It's a fairly lively night but can easily get a taxi to the very lively Ayia Napa.
Also recommend Malia in Crete2014 Wins - Chocs, Koala, Toiletries, Alton Towers Tickets, Budweiser Glass, Pizza, Dress, Canvas x 2, Hamper, Toucan Box, Specs, DVD, Baby Bouncer, Wine, £100 M&S Voucher, Easter Activity Pack, Nappy Cream, Men’s Shoes, Lindt Bunny, £50 Tesco Voucher, Ella's Kitchen Snacks
TOTAL VALUE = £732 :j0 -
Benidorm is a good shout too0

some nightlife too?
Yes, I went when I was 26 and in October and while some of it was shut, a lot was open so I imagine it is quite busy in the peak seasons.
There are a lot of little friendly bars as well so they would not have to go clubbing every night. It was quite cheap as well which was a bonus as it is not one of the huge touristy spots.
There is a little market and fishing village there too. I personally, thought it was nice for a first time abroad. I started in a half board hotel there, almost everything was walking distance, we only ever got the bus to a market in the next town and to the theme park, otherwise we walked everywhere.0 -

Salou is a fab place good for all ages loads to do for kids and teens, some fab nightclubs
it's near Reus airport so not spending hrs on a transfer shuttle

Hi there,
I would also say Stalis, Crete as you are in between Malia and Hersonissos for the night life but are in a quieter place to relax during the day on the lovely beach.
