They may only do it for goods bought on 17th

  • that would be just typical luck! I bought shopping yesterday to produce a capped voucher of £20, so it won't make any difference to mine if they honour dtd on it. I didn't see any of this news until late last night when I came on here. Unless of course, they lift "the cap"... mmm, now that I would be happy about.

Its just a shame that people don’t read and digest the terms and conditions, FAQ’s and Questions & Answers, as then you would have been able to confront him with confidence that he was talking out of his assend
As unlike Tesco, Asda’s Questions and Answers actually allow for more than one voucher to be used per shop

thank you.. I have now printed off the Asda price guarantee terms and conditions along with the questions and answers.. I have highlighted the two sections below... hopefully, next time i shop at asda with my vouchers, I can just show the managers these highlighted sections.

    Terms and Conditions
    12. Claims will be made via voucher (in store) or e-voucher (online). You must ensure that you retain your original receipt as vouchers are not valid without the original receipt. In store, vouchers (together with the original receipt) can be redeemed off the cost of your next shop at the checkouts, or alternatively (again, together with the original receipt) redeemed at the customer service desk, if you are spending less than the value of the voucher.

    Questions and Answers
    - I've made two successful claims so have two vouchers; can I use them both in one shop?

Yes just present them to the checkout operator to be discounted from your shopping.

    - Can I use my voucher in the same transaction as other coupons or money off vouchers in store?

Yes just present them to the checkout operator together.

I've got a copy of the advert, on the page before with the £5 off tokens it says:

...There's no rush - thecoupons are valid until SUNDAY, MAY 22...

So i presume they will honour the DTD until then?

I've done two shops consisting solely of lamb racks so will be emailing them when it comes back with TD only.

We apologise for any confusion. The wrong advert was printed in Tuesday's edition of the Sun. This was entirely due to a third party error. Tesco have in no way changed our policy and will not be reintroducing double the difference.

We are still committed to bringing our customers the best prices possible and are happy to refund the difference if you should find your shopping cheaper at Asda.

However we do appreciate that this advert may have caused confusion and disappointment and therefore Tesco are happy to check receipts from shops on the 17th and up to 17.00 on the 18th May and refund double the difference up to £20.

    Heres how :

Customers should enter their receipt into Price Check as normal. This must be done by Sunday 29th May 2011 for shops conducted on Tuesday 17th May 2011 or Wednesday 18th May 2011, before 17 :00.

Once the single the difference voucher is received customers should redeem in store as usual and keep the original receipt.

They should then post the original receipt along with a note of their email address and the date it was entered into Price Check. This needs to be received by Tesco on or before Monday 6th June 2011

    Price Check Team
    Tesco House
    Maes-y-Coed Road
    Cardiff
    CF14 4TT

Our Customer Service Centre will check the date on the receipt to confirm it has been entered into Price Check.

If so, customers will receive by post a Tesco Moneycard for the original price check voucher amount up to the limit of £20, plus the cost of a second class stamp. This represents a total Price Check refund of double the difference. This will be returned within 7-14 days of submission.
