No problem getting my ten packets of biscuits today! Used ten coupons too. Also picked up a ridiculous amount of 1p - 50p Easter chocolate. The checkout girl must have reason to believe I am mentally-ill. Not going back for at least a week now after doing a meal plan for the next week or so with remainder DTD food. Need to get rid of that before I get cracking on RTD/coupon stock proper.
That said, I have nearly run out of snacks/rubbish food like chocolate and sweets from the DTD days, so these biscuits will fill a gap!10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -
I went into asda today with about 10 price guarantee vouchers worth about £15.. I did my shopping, and then went to the till. the checkout girl called the manager upon seeing my vouchers, who told her i'd only be able to use one voucher per transaction. So i took my shopping to the self service bit with the intention of making 10 different transactions, each with a different voucher, but upon scanning my first voucher the check out lady came over and told me i could only use the vouchers at the main tills, as it was to time consuming.. so, i went to the till and requested that my shopping be paid for in 10 separate transactions so as i could use all of my vouchers.. with this request, the checkout girl call the manager, who then told me that I would not be allowed to use 1 coupon per item. after a short debate, it was agreed that i could use 3-4 coupons at once per 5-6 items ( i know what your all thinking.. !!!!!!). So, with a long line of unhappy shoppers behind me and two managers plus 2 checkout girls overlooking, i eventually used my £15's worth of asda vouchers on a £40 shop...
what a mission that was.0 -
Bought loads of wine today (thanks to OP who found it). Paid with a RTD ("what's this then") called the supervisor, usual debacle, then offered a Sainsbury voucher, this one she knew, took the whole months worth.
Anyway about 13 litres (Some Lambrini and some of he small bottles) for £16.90 less 30pence I found on the bus. !!! Great day.
ps ...er...perhaps wrong thread. lol0 -

I would think this happened because Tesco marketing would have designed and paid for these adverts to appear months in advance not forseeing that the DTD offer would be "taken advantage of"0 -
1 x CTR MONKFISH TAIL (0.575 kg) £ 11.50 £ 8.63
Voucher for £2.87.
I have both asda and tesco within 5 mins drive but prefer to pay more at tesco and get the difference back. This can add up to quite a few extra cc points if the promotion continues but of course even better if they have revived the dtd!!( fat chance, but ridiculous if they are advertising that they are)weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0 -

Good point, but Daily papers will have a very short copy deadline, so although they may not have been able to cancel the space, they certainly would have been able to change the copy, probably as late as a couple of days ago. Guess that means they are just not 'on the ball' in any shape or form, with this promotion!0 -

what a mission that was.
Its just a shame that people don’t read and digest the terms and conditions, FAQ’s and Questions & Answers, as then you would have been able to confront him with confidence that he was talking out of his assend
As unlike Tesco, Asda’s Questions and Answers actually allow for more than one voucher to be used per shop0
