Tesco Cottage - Refund the Difference Deals

Just a wee rant - nothing we've not heard before but I had four, yes four supervisors all crowd round me at the till telling me I couldn't use my voucher because I didn't have a clubcard. I told them I don't usually shop at Tesco so never bothered with one. Eventually, and I mean eventually, one of them asked to see the original receipt to prove I must have a clubcard (???). The original receipt did in fact show I didn't use a clubcard so they marched me off to the CS desk where the CS supervisor scanned my voucher and gave me the cash!
Someone should write a book of errors after the vouchers are all used up and send it to Philip Clarke!
Rant over, thanks!0 -
PS Anyone daring to email CS tomorrow when they don't get DTD back?0

Hi, we're going to be honouring this error. Any affected customers should contact Customer Services on 08005055550 -
In the advert, does it say anything about the £20 voucher cap?0

Habe a look on the Pricechecker thread, someone has posted a pic of the advert - it doesn't mention the cap but definately tells us they will 'double the difference'!DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

But is DTD not dead? Now is this the overcharging DTD or the Asda/Mr T DTD? Why would Mr T honour DTD - is this to do with the Daily Mirror advert and if so, how would you prove it?
Edit: oh and where is the pricechecker thread? Sorry but loaded with the cold (yet again) and can't think straight to go looking myself.0 -

Yes, the advert in today's Sun clearly states Tesco will give back DTD if they're more expensive than Asda. They've said they will honour the advert so anyone who shopped today has to call Customer Services.
As for the pricechecker thread, you mean this one?

Yeah that's kinda what I'm wondering. How will they know that you read the paper and actually saw the advert? I could say I saw the advert today and buy 2 lots of Fairy All-in-1 tomorrow so would I get 2 x £19.98 vouchers?0
