    hi all
Im for one started to use Adam's advice (asda is an awkard trip for me)
my store (its new) had a £5 off non food stuff on a £20 spend
    so...
    1 fairy gel
    1 cushelle 4 roll
    4 radox handwash
    2 x colgate crystal toothpast = £21.69
found my first trout (i didnt even have a voucher for DTD forgot them at home!) when she said 'non food' was health and beauty or clothes!
i told her to show me where on the exclusion it said no washing gel/toilet roll - i pointed out i could not EAT any of it, so it was NON FOOD!
supervisor comes over and told her to scan it.
after using £5 voucher plus £1 for gel and toilet roll, i paid £14.69 and should have around £10 DTD, which is not bad for the list above.
shall use this again until the £5 promo is over (8/05)
I guess folk could do this with the quantumatic
    hope it helps!

which £5 vocher u using, dtd? thanks in advance :)

Photocopies are not allowed and we on the coupon thread do not condone it. Each coupon has a different code and whilst we do agree to saying coupon not printed and it will print a second one it will have a different code number.

What we must do is preserve the coupon policy so that is does not get abused and go the same way as dtd.

So no photocopies please, if you do not have a printer most of the coupons can be sent by post to you, usually within a few days

    happy couponning

    CWxx

Yes i didn t think they were allowed.:)

for those that don't have an asda near them just seen on HUKD

    Countrylife butter 250g Salted/Unsalted 50p @ asda instore/online

    its £1.30 online @ Tesco

Excellent deal, even value butter is 98p.

So you're effectively getting the butter for half price, ad it can be frozen :)

The very first post suggests that people can't add up. The reason that I have gone 'on and on and on' is that each time I pointed out the error in the maths, someone would come back and talk about getting stuff 'for pennies'.

It even mentions 'for pennies' on the very first post. My point is, you are not getting anything for pennies. People reading the first post might think they are getting something for nothing and that's it a great idea to buy stuff that's dearer in Tesco rather than just go to Asda.

I have said numerous times that it's a reasonable approach if you have no Asda nearby, there's no need to get so defensive about it. If people finally understand that this method is simply a way of getting Asda special offers in Tesco, then great. The first post absolutely does not make this clear.

Personally, I don't give a hoot where people shop or how much trouble they go to just to get the same price as Asda. I'm lucky, I have every supermarket under the sun all close by each other (though not that close to me). I know others don't have the same choice. :)

I've added your emboldened text to the OP. I certainly understand where you're coming from, but I think you are deliberately failing to understand my point, instead claiming I 'don't know how to add up'.

I have given you numerous examples of how this will save me money and how I am getting the product for pennies. Yes, the product would be free at ASDA but as I don't have one nearby, the same product would cost me pounds in train fare.

Anyway, I'm sick of repeating myself and justifying my own shopping to you as it is completely unnecessary when I know I am right - for my own, personal situation. There are many others here in a similar position.

As you don't seem to be in this position, kindly stop trolling. More personal insults like the one above will result in posts being reported. Thanks.

I am in the same boat as Adam,

Well in a way, that is paying pennies. It can be done. I can so can Adam. I have all superstores nearby except waitrose:A.

Unlike Adam - its not that I cannot go to Asda & do my shopping & get 10% PRG.

Why should I go to Asda when I can use voucher to pay £20 worth of goods & get back £20 ( but alas now its £10 - so I will cut my shopping down to £10 still pay pennies or 50p!:D). Like Adam I am not into making profit I am milking T for free stuff : so far my oh & I calculated that we bought £1k worth of groceries for less than £30. Either you like Maths or you hate Maths:D. I love maths.

Towards the end of the day like Adam :- voucher make voucher end of lesson:cool:

Just back from my shops at T and A. Felt such a pickle in A with my mountains of coupons...still, £20 for £2 wasn't bad. Would have been pennies but I picked up £1.82 worth of stuff I had no coupon for.
Felt weird in T buying normal stuff but kind of nice lol!
If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!

    Brilliant totals there!

In the pre-cap days, I spent £100 and got £1000 worth of stuff.

Then the cap came in, I spent £140 and got £700 worth of stuff.

    Total spent: approx £240.
Total value of goods: approx £1700.

The problem I now have is: in the last week of DTD, I put two shops through at a time (wish I'd done that from the start now!), so can add £140 to the last figure. Also, I haven't included the pennies and, occasionally, pounds spent over a voucher in order to get another £20 voucher back, so the above are very rough estimates.

And, I still have just over £500 in vouchers still to spend!

I'm sick of repeating myself too, so I won't.

Just would like to add that someone repeatedly disagreeing with you does not amount to 'trolling' - I am no more trolling than you are. And I can't imagine what you think was reportable in any of my posts.

Anyway, this thread is no longer on the Grabbit board so I'm happy that things have been cleared up. Happy shopping. :)
