Tesco Cottage - Refund the Difference Deals

hi all
Im for one started to use Adam's advice (asda is an awkard trip for me)
my store (its new) had a £5 off non food stuff on a £20 spend
so...
1 fairy gel
1 cushelle 4 roll
4 radox handwash
2 x colgate crystal toothpast = £21.69
found my first trout (i didnt even have a voucher for DTD forgot them at home!) when she said 'non food' was health and beauty or clothes!
i told her to show me where on the exclusion it said no washing gel/toilet roll - i pointed out i could not EAT any of it, so it was NON FOOD!
supervisor comes over and told her to scan it.
after using £5 voucher plus £1 for gel and toilet roll, i paid £14.69 and should have around £10 DTD, which is not bad for the list above.
shall use this again until the £5 promo is over (8/05)
I guess folk could do this with the quantumatic
hope it helps!I love this site and all chums, but its making a dent in my bank account!!!
Have lots of things I want, but dont necessarily need... Must DO BETTER!!! :A0 -

I'm just concentrating on the Fairy Fabric Softener until the price changes in Tesco or ASDA, then I'll move on to another item and so on.
Got my first two bottles earlier today - 2 x £1 off vouchers used, £1.40 cash paid and £1.40 voucher due back tomorrow which I'll use to get two more, etc.I love this site and all chums, but its making a dent in my bank account!!!

Well I have 3 remaining vouchers and now and armful of moc coupons! I'm lucky that I have both a T and A near me so can just choose where has the best deals!
I'm off in a mo to Tesco to spend one of my vouchers on some normal weekly grocerie that aren't cheaper at Asda
Then I'm off to Asda to spend some coupons.
If I can tear myself away from the weeding of course (dont judge me, I'm a romantic at heart....as hubs isn't I have to get my dose of goo from somewhere)
I'm so sad this has all ended but I think I have come out of it a more savvy shopper!!!!! I'm certainly not going just to go to Tesco and bung stuff in my trolley anymore.... I'm determined to start saving more money!
Totally agree!
LOL at the "weeding"...0 -

thanks very much for starting this thread, like many others on here I don't live anywhere near an asda and even my nearest tesco is over a 60 mile trek,I can only shop once amonth,so I only managed to use the dtd twice while the promo was on.This thread will still be useful to me I'm sure, every little helps0

Re: Couponstar/couponnet coupons:-
1) Coupon net tracked your IP - do not photocopy your coupons after you have printed 2. First it let you print 1 coupon, next it ask you did your coupon print out correctly, say "no it did not print" you then get 2nd & final change to print another one.
2) Sometime it does not ask you "did your coupon print" - if it doesn't then you press back page to reprint.
3) Max. coupon you are allowed to print is 2. Unless unlike some of us - we have multi pc & printers in office we can print 2 per pc.
4) Some coupon net coupons has your name on the coupon & some just say "Personalise Coupon".
5) If you still insist on photocopying the coupons & try to use them & get caught thats your prob. We the users knows dos & donts.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

If this thread is no good to you, fine, but don't treat others like they don't know how to add up, you're not actually beating your head against a brick wall thanks v much anyway!
The very first post suggests that people can't add up. The reason that I have gone 'on and on and on' is that each time I pointed out the error in the maths, someone would come back and talk about getting stuff 'for pennies'.
It even mentions 'for pennies' on the very first post. My point is, you are not getting anything for pennies. People reading the first post might think they are getting something for nothing and that's it a great idea to buy stuff that's dearer in Tesco rather than just go to Asda.
I have said numerous times that it's a reasonable approach if you have no Asda nearby, there's no need to get so defensive about it. If people finally understand that this method is simply a way of getting Asda special offers in Tesco, then great. The first post absolutely does not make this clear.
Personally, I don't give a hoot where people shop or how much trouble they go to just to get the same price as Asda. I'm lucky, I have every supermarket under the sun all close by each other (though not that close to me). I know others don't have the same choice.0 -
Do asda self-service tills need authorisation for coupons?0
