Suppose it depends in how long you've had your contract, and your reason for wanting to cancel the contract, rather than just get the allowances that you claim were agreed to.
  • im currently two month into the contract, and one of the main reason for cancelling is i may soon be out of work and will not be able to afford the £35 amonth, and also there coverage is terrible the guy in the shop said they have the best network coverage for iphones hmm. The guy had said to me i would get 50000 3 to 3 mins and it even says that on the print out i received off him after it was all complete when infact i only have 5000.

    Are you serious?
50000/60/24=35 days. Yes, days(!). Yes, 35 days of 3 to 3 calls per month :rotfl:
  • yes i though the same as you that strange......but still its misleading information on behalf of my contract surely that can cancel a contract ?

Whilst I sympathise with your potential loss of work, I think that you are clutching at straws to try to get your contract ended.
3 have NEVER offered 50,000 minutes per month in a contract, simply because it's impossible. 50000 minutes equates to making calls 24x7 for approx 34 days - or put simply being on your phone to someone else on 3 for the ENTIRE length of your contract.
It's a very blatant and obvious error, that even trying to put this before a Judge, you'd be laughed out of court.
I do very much sympathise with your situation, but trying to use the 50,000 minute argument IMO is a complete non-starter.
  • Thank you for your advice :) much appreciated.

It sounds like you're stuck with a bad contract. If money is really tight all I can suggest is selling the iPhone on Ebay and buying a cheaper android phone such as the San Francisco, as that could get you £200 or £300 I suppose.

Once your contract is up you could haggle with the retentions department and get the cost down to £10 or £5 probably.
