Hi there, everyone who has posted regarding my position, don't feel bad for me. We've tried for many years now and have spent money we didn't have on treatment that was so incredibly draining on us and our relationship that we finally decided not to carry on.
We are happy together, we have our families and God children (who are incredibly special to us) and a menagarie of cats and dogs all of which make our lives complete. I would dearly love to be a Mum, but it's not to be.
Enjoy the festive season everyone, take care.

  • you can always try your local charity shop - sometime people do hand in unopened items like jigsaw, toys, some clothes are nearly new, large soft toys good clean condition. just need to look around.

There is nothing wrong with buying 2nd hand goods.

We have 3 kids. and we don't spoil them with branded stuff all the time, thank god when we go out shopping my children will ask for this or that & when we said no they just stop asking! I just bought Puma school bag from ebay seller buy it now for £16.00 for 4 bags bargain. and he still got plenty more like adidas/puma/head.

Wow this thread has really touched me. I see I've joined a wonderful community here.

My 3 'kids' are 21, 18 and 16 and whilst they do appreciate that things for their age group are extremely expensive they each still present me with long lists. However they do appreciate that they'll only get a few things.

How come there are never freebie sites for techy stuff for old teens?

Have you had a look at Totaltwaddle, they have a childrens section. Even the old links (more than 6 months) sometimes are still valid, Merry Christmas craig

Even the smallest of pressies cost a fortune. HMV do deal of the day, and I,ve ordered some dvd sets for my older two at reasonable prices. Hope this helps.

You're right freebies for older children are not easy to come by, if anyone knows of any please let me know, just ordered the free glass from Somerfield for my 19 yr old daughter, she loves cider.

have you tried the tesco misprice thread - i was overcharged for a futurama dvd boxset so they refunded the money & o got to keep it, making it free! not the same i know but worth a try. i think these are still mispriced in some areas - look for the lower price sticker on the box than the one on the shelf as they usually scan at shelf price. HTH.

what about the free sim cards? think they usually have some credit on which may save a few bob!

do you have a boots advantage card? if you have girls there's a few bargains to be had - vouchers in machine for free trevor sorbie minis at the moment, 2 jemms kidd nail files for $4 with 500 points making them better than free etc..
Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!
