Talkmobile from Carphone Warehouse

Hi there,

I have noticed that Carphone Warehouse's mobile network Talkmobile are currently offerring some attractive deals that end on the 3rd May.

I am very keen to get rid of my current phone and get a smartphone, but I am a bit wary; firstly due to Carphone Warehouse's reputation. Secondly as there is not a lot of information from customers of Talkmobile that I can find on the net, bar a few negative reviews (incl. a couple in this forum). There is some mention of a scam involving pro-rata minutes in the first month of the contract?

Therefore it would be great if people who have used Talkmobile could use this thread to post their positive or negative experiences so we can get a picture of whether this network is worth a shot / a bunch of shysters.

Ive been with talkmobile for years and have had no problems with them at all, they use the vodafone signal also had no problems with that either. Never had to deal with customer service very much but when I have they have been helpful and very easy to deal with so I can only speak from my experience which has been good I would recommend them, hope this helps. I had the samsung galaxy s on the £18 a month 300 mins 3000 texts and 1gb of internet

My parents have just taken out a contract each with TalkMobile (£12, 200mins, 200 texts, unltd internet and free wildfire), they had no problems and were very pleased with the service :-) and cashback too if you do order - we ordered via the carphone warehouse website.

TalkMobile aren't owned by Carphone Warehouse - the company that owns Carphone Warehouse also owns TalkMobile, though - so they share the same parent company.
